From being self-taught to studying fashion, TV, film and theatre for four years, Jamie has built an impressive career doing what she loves. With a passion for both glam makeup and theatre, Jamie's journey is a perfect example of where dedication, creativity and staying true to yourself can take you.
💄 How long have you been a makeup artist?
"I've been a makeup artist for 10 years, celebrating my 10th year this month! I started off self-taught, then studied for 4 years within fashion, TV/film and theatre. My favourite things to do in makeup are glam and theatre."
A whole decade in the industry is an incredible achievement, and Jamie's experience across fashion, TV, film and theatre has allowed her to develop a diverse skill set and create a style that is completely her own.
✨ What made you start your journey in makeup?
"I started in 2016 when makeup was really popping off. I was a salon junior at the time learning hairdressing and decided that makeup was for me! I was always super inspired by 90s makeup and supermodel glam."
Inspired by the iconic beauty looks of the 90s and supermodel era, Jamie knew makeup was where her creativity belonged. What started alongside her hairdressing journey soon became a passion and ultimately a career spanning an incredible ten years.
